Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete Rosete has finally taken away the Miss Universe crown at 59th edition of the Miss Universe pageant that was held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, US on August 23rd. The other runners-up were Miss Jamaica, Miss Australia, Miss Ukraine and Miss Philippines. Miss Jamaica 2010 Yendi Phillipps was crowned the first-runner up, and Miss Australia Jesinta Campbell came in at the third place. Miss Ukraine Anna Poslavska came in fourth, while top favorite Miss Philippines Venus Raj came in fifth, making it the stunning Miss Universe 2010 Top 5 contestants. Jimena becomes the second Miss Mexico contestant to win the Miss Universe crown, since the only time Mexico won the crown before was in 199 – by Lupita Jones. Jimena Navarrete, Miss Universe 2010, newly crowned as the most beautiful woman in the world, dedicated the title to his native Mexico, and his family, during a crowded press conference at the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas (Nevada).





"I dedicate it to Mexico," were the first words of Navarrete. "This crown and this band is for all of them and especially to those who believed in me. He is devoted to my family, my boyfriend and my country," he added.

It is the second time in history that Mexico is made with this win. The previous occasion dates back to 1991, when Lupita Jones was named, coincidentally, also in Las Vegas.
